I created a short video with some advice about learning to speak another language. After learning to speak five languages as an adult, and studying language acquisition in adults in graduate school, I have some ideas about the subject. After discussing my thoughts with a friend, I decided that a short video would be the best way to share.

More Information

• Learning to speak another language may seem like an overwhelming chore, so this video features cartoon characters and moving graphics, since that seemed like a nice way to appeal to any age and background.

• I did not want to create any language barriers to viewing this video, so every word that I speak is also featured on the video. That way, the ideas are the most important elements and cognitive work is minimized.

• To create the video I used Adobe Express. I use the Adobe Creative Suite and wanted to try Adobe Express to see how fast I could author a video with it. It turns out that it really is an express experience.
